Brief review for the previous version
DoPDF is an utterly basic piece of software that does nothing beyond its main function: create PDF files. It's a great piece to pick up for the occasional times you'll need to toss something into a PDF file such as a recruiter that wants to be emailed your resume in PDF format or any other occasion that might happen to come up.

There are a two ways to go about utilizing the program. First, doPDF works by printingВќfiles as PDF files. What that means is that any program you have that supports printing will allow you to go into the print options and select it in order to make the conversion. It's fairly ingenious as it appears that you computer is fooled into creating a PDF file when it believes it's actually printing. This works well in word as the program will actually come up in the list of viable printers. On the other hand you can open up the software itself and select the file you want to convert to PDF format.

It's also incredibly lightweight compared to virtually anything you'll be running on your system in the foreground. It took up roughly a quarter of the resources that Microsoft Word used up and a fraction of what an active web browser utilized.

If you just need the file to be converted and none of the flashy features then doPDF is definitely the right choice. It's bare bones, light weight and incredibly easy to use. However, if you're looking for something to work on a professional project you may want to invest in something a little more beefy.
